Njia ya usafiri ya "Central Corridor" imezinduliwa rasmi kwa meli ya kwanza tangu miaka 15 kufika katika bandari ya Bujumbura Burundi kutokea Kigoma Tanzania, baada ya meli hiyo kusafirishwa kwa reli kutoka Dar es Salaam hadi Kigoma. Hamida Issa na maelezo zaidi kutoka Bujumbura.
