Facts & Figures

(1) It is estimated that a total of 173,000 terawatts (trillions of watts) of SOLAR ENERGY strikes the Earth continuously

(2) The solar constant, meaning the power of the Sun at the Earth, per square metre is approximately 1, 370 watts per square metre (W/m2).

(3) China's total annual solar cell and module production capacity may increase from 361 GW  (361,000 MW) at the end of last year to up to 600 GW (600,000 MW) at the end of 2022, according to the Asia Europe Clean Energy (Solar) Advisory (AECEA).

(4) India would reach a total grid-connected solar installation of 68 GW (68,000 MW) by end of 2022.
